Whatcha been cookin?

So because of the new wonderful website of Pinterest (if anyone would like an invite let me know), I’ve been discovering plenty of awesome new things, but one of my personal favorite things is the recipes. It actually is making me want to cook more than once a week! So here are a few recipes I tried and results: Also, I’m doing the same thing we do as Netflix, rating them 1-5

Baked Creamy Chicken Taquitos

I did several things different from the recipe I mostly just used what we had at home so this was my version
1/3 cup (3 oz) sour cheese
1/4 cup salsa
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon chopped up onions
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups shredded cooked chicken
1 cup grated cheese

Crescent Chicken

Jilleun: 3
These are very similar to Chicken and Dumplings (which I personally think are better) but still it was good. It was way to much for two people though, even with eating left overs.

Sopapilla Cheesecake
Kelvin: 4
Jilleun: 2
These I thought were just OK but for a dessert they were less than I was expecting. I made them when two of Kelvin’s brothers came over and we still had a ton of left overs. Just compared to cookies or ice cream these were kind of lame. I don’t think I’ll make them again.

Crockpot Salsa Chicken
Kelvin: 5
Jilleun: 5
This was the first time I actually ever used our crockpot. Super easy and good. This first night I made it we just ate it with tortilla chips and the next night I made burritos and fried them. Excellent both ways.

Better than Yours Dip
Kelvin: 5
Jilleun: 5
Ok so this is one that I just happen to think of one day, just add the two together heat on your stove for a few minutes and voila! Its super tasty and definitely one of my favorite snacks. I know the Tostito people make one similar, as well as Chili’s but I really like mine best. Also I use Staggs Classic Chili.
